What a place to see how life was from the beginning of time to today. Well organized and an easy walk. more »

Interesting museum but could have done with more detail on each different area and era. Still had lots to piece together post being at the exhibit. That said, a great crash course in Costa Rican history which I had very little knowledge of. Definitely worth a trip.
I went with family low expectations to the museum but I was pleasantly surprised by how interesting the exhibit was. I spent about three hours of my afternoon lost in the infinite abyss of information this place houses. Being a big history buff the journey though the history of Costa Rica absolutely blew my mind. The exhibit is very detailed and gives information starting from the pre-Columbian era to the present day Costa Rica. I am glad that I made this stop at the beginning of my Costa Rica journey because I feel that this has given me a much better understanding of of the country currently. Even if you are not into museums the low entrance fees makes it atleast worth a glance.
