On arriving at recepción, the views were magnificent over the pool and coast. Excelent guide told me sad stories of the animals that could Not be released. more »
They are doing good work ethically for the wildlife of CR, and your visit to sustains that work. It was thrilling to see the varieties of animals and hear their rescue stories. Getting to the Alturas property DEFINITELY requires a 4x4 vehicle...that road is steep and rocky and windy. But worth it.
Amazing people and amazing animals. They are not a zoo that captures animals for the amusement of people but are reather a place that rehabilitates animals and releases them back to the wild if possible. But if it is not possible they help the give the animals the most natural and clean environment to live. 100% worth the drive and would suggest it to my friends.
