  • Lovely spot, great walking tracks, and nice BBQ area, lived in Brisbane for 20 years and was my first trip here. Will come back when it rains, hopefully its nicer when it's running  more »
  • We walk Mt Coot-tha weekly, enjoying the various walks it has to offer. Easy to not so easy, walks abound. It is quite safe and in the time we've been doing this (10 years) we've not experienced any p...  more »

  • Well amenitized area. There are toilets near the entrance, large picnic areas with taps all along the tracks. It's a nice area for all types of exercise be it cycling (paved paths), walkers, dog walkers, and also for families to have bbqs. Pity it was really dry still despite the few nights of rain we've had (Feb 2019). With all the creek catchment areas running through this place it would've been superb. Still nice though. The only few things to point out is there needs to be a bit more signage to say you have reached the actual slaughter falls site or to keep going. And the summit track is misleading in expectations when you get there. Instead of some view It actually stops at the main road where cars drive up to the summit lookout and restaurant. Still a good exercise track though.
  • Great place, lovely walk. People could be a bit more respectful and keep their dogs on lead but I also expected water to be there in larger volumes than mosquito breeding puddles.
