This museum is actually a Palace whose decoration has been preserved. The owners ate for example in a dining room neo-Renaisance... It's rather curious! A European does not learn much, but the guide, also learned that friendly, manages to make the exciting tour.

This museum was a pleasant surprise, it was the home of wealthy people that built this villa at the end of the 19 century and subsequent generations sold to the Government. There you will find beautiful furniture and objects and understand a little about what it was like to life, habits and customs of the time, Valley program for the tour. Recommend

The Museum contains many objects of art in an environment that was the home of a wealthy and important. Everything is kept with care and the staff is courteous. You can connect a visit to MALBA.

Loved this place. Great art/architecture. Was (to our surprise) free. Great stop on a walking tour.

The building itself is the main attraction. Downstairs guided tour very helpful to appreciate the many architectural curiosities. Upstairs collection better without a guide.

Incredible place in downtown Buenos Aires, merits a visit. Additionally, there's a Asian art collection there.

Beautiful mansion with well preserved interior. It gives a good idea of how people in power use to live.

Where to stay in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires offers an impressive selection of budget-friendly and mid-range lodgings, as well as pricier, more luxurious options for visitors who don't mind splashing out. Good rooms are scattered across town, but your best bet for economical hostels remains San Telmo, a neighborhood on the edge of downtown. For boutique establishments and international five-star hotels, head to Palermo, Recoleta, or Puerto Madero, upscale neighborhoods drawing the majority of foreign visitors.
