  • Free entrance. Underground beneathcassino (gambling is forbidden in Buenos Aires - but not beneath or on a boat!). Horse races on weekends.  more »
  • We were late and had horse racing. The entrance is free. And you can enter almost everywhere except the main building in which it is required to be partner. Very nice facilities, care, neat, are sometimes made exhibitions with food trucks, there are also sculptures building is very nice. We did not see problems of insecurity. Very quiet. You can spend the day

  • Racetrack tends to have several activities to perform according to the day. Practically every day are open the casino rooms (can not enter children's dad). Usually on Mondays and Fridays or Saturdays race. And also, once in a while on weekends there are events of foodtrucks in the flats of parking. The part of the casino is large enough, underneath the stands. The parts more new are enormous. Enough noise and lights everywhere. The Hippodrome, deserves to be visited. More activities beyond has a very nice architecture view, with several works of art distributed that worth go visit him.

  • Love this place, but I noticed on this trip that the place has started to go downhill a bit. The bathrooms weren't clean; there was no soap in bathrooms, and many of the machines didn't work properly or had broken parts or buttons. Still a good time, just surprised about upkeep.
  • For me, a racetrack should be like Palermo -- a good track needs to have some kind of tradition behind it .. in the buildings, in the trees and grass, in the amenities for guests, If it is just a big cash register with old hags and bums lining the fence hoping their 50 cent bet will pay off a thousand bucks, it's a bummer. Only good track is a pretty track. I have spoken! :) Cheers.
  • The perefect place to enjoy food festival while seeing horses races
  • Very nice neighborhood. Food & fun unlimited.
  • Classic horse race track with waiters in white jackets who bring you your drinks and a beautiful central building forming the main stands. Racing several days/nights a week, low entry fee and thus well worth a visit

Where to stay in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires offers an impressive selection of budget-friendly and mid-range lodgings, as well as pricier, more luxurious options for visitors who don't mind splashing out. Good rooms are scattered across town, but your best bet for economical hostels remains San Telmo, a neighborhood on the edge of downtown. For boutique establishments and international five-star hotels, head to Palermo, Recoleta, or Puerto Madero, upscale neighborhoods drawing the majority of foreign visitors.
